31+ years with British Airways

Sabbir joined British Airways in the early 1990s and has flown with the airline for more than 31 years.

He is a Cabin Crew Leader, also known as a Purser, and he has kept flying throughout the years of opening and running his London restaurants. That balance between the cabin and the kitchen has caught the attention of the BBC and other media.

What the world put on the menu

Three decades of flying have taken Sabbir across the world. Wherever he lands, he eats, and those meals have shaped what he cooks back in London.

He has said that this exposure to different cuisines and food cultures is a big part of his culinary style. It's one reason the menus at his restaurants keep moving, while the dishes regulars love stay put.

Leading a cabin crew and running a dining room have a lot in common. Both come down to people, calm and care.
