The restaurants

Three restaurants. Three neighbourhoods. One passion for food.

Founded by award-winning chef Sabbir Karim, Salaam Namaste, Namaaste Kitchen and Namaaste Highgate each bring their own character to London's dining scene. Together, they reflect his passion for regional Indian cooking, his Bangladeshi heritage and the flavours discovered through a lifetime of travel.

From Bloomsbury to Camden Town and Highgate Village, each restaurant shares a commitment to carefully prepared food, warm hospitality and a table where everyone feels welcome.

Together they've helped bring Indian and Bangladeshi cooking to a wider London audience, and they've given Sabbir a way to use food as a bridge between cultures.

How Sabbir cooks

His cooking starts with traditional Indian techniques and adds what he has picked up flying around the world as a British Airways Cabin Crew Leader.

He thinks of his restaurants as places that keep changing. Menus are developed all the time to follow what guests want, but the favourites stay. Industry publications have pointed to that willingness to keep refining as a big part of why the restaurants have lasted.
