The Sreepur Village

For more than three decades Sabbir has supported The Sreepur Village, a charity working with vulnerable mothers and children in Bangladesh.

His involvement began with fundraising and advocacy. Over the years it grew into a role as a trustee, and into helping build links between supporters in Britain and communities in Bangladesh.

About the charity

The Sreepur Village was founded in 1989. It gives single mothers and their children a safe home for up to three years, along with the skills and training they need to support their families once they leave.

It's a registered charity in England and Wales, number 1085008.

Sabbir's part

Sabbir's support has taken in fundraising, awareness campaigns and British Airways-related charitable activities. As a trustee he now helps guide the charity's work and keeps the connection between Britain and Bangladesh strong.
